Jake was born in Cambridge, England in 1971. He grew up on his family's wildlife park, which sparked his fascination with all things furry and creepy.
In 2000 Jake stamped his own identity on the wildlife park with a new exhibition, Water World and Bug City, dedicated to the creepy crawlies and underwater life of the wild. This was to be a turning point in his career as it was this feature, which propelled Jake into the world of TV, as the host on National Geographic Channel's 'Insects From hell' series.
Jake's TV shows have been hugely popular ever since with audiences in 147 countries around the world. His shows include; 'Insects From Hell' I & II, 'Mosquito Hell', 'Pests From Hell', 'Rogue Raiders' and 'Wild Events'.
Jake wanted to bring his passion for wildlife to new audiences around the globe and so created TheWildlifePortal.tv, the first wildlife web series of its kind, taking advantage of the hottest new culture to seize the imagination of internet users worldwide.
